There are thousands of community animals wandering the streets of India. These animals proliferate in the absence of a robust sterilization program and, as time passes, it becomes harder to control the population and make sure that these innocent animals don't suffer unnecessarily.

These poor animals have to brave adverse weather conditions, threats from erratic traffic, other predators, and worse of all, cruel people who see them not as helpless animals, but as bothersome pests who should be eradicated. We at ShivaMaya love animals and we want to do our part in helping those unfortunate animals who are doomed to wander the streets and fend for themselves.

We have launched Project Surya during the COVID 19 pandemic to make sure that these animals get fed and taken care of, especially during these tough times when it has become particularly hard for these animals to find food. We strive to provide food, shelter, and medical care for these community animals and we wish to grow this program so that we can help as many animals as possible.
